Parcelu jsme sháněli 5let. Hlavním kritériem byly vzrostlé stromy. Z asi 10 variant pozemků, na které jsem měl již vymyšlené domy, po tříletém čekání na rozdělení majetku po rozvodu původních majitelů dopadla nakonec tato. S odstupem času vím, že byla nejlepší! Jedná se o místo bývalého zahradnictví na jižní stráni nad centrem města. Adresa je Divadelní 1012, původní číslo popisné bylo 12. Ulice vede nahoru od Jiráskova divadla. Ze severu máme památkově chráněnou lipovou alej, která obíhá místní hřbitov - není lepších sousedů. Uklidňující dojem okolí posiluje pravidelné zvonění z nedaleké renesanční zvonice a školní věže na náměstí. Les máme na dosah. Velice důležitá je pro nás zahrada a práce na ní. Vzrostlé stromy, které jsme za pomoci zahradní architektky Štěpánky Šmídové doplnili další zelení odkazující k původní okolní krajině. Výsledkem je zdánlivě prostá rostlinná skladba, ze které však jde požadovaný klid a harmonie propojení se zdejší přírodou. Protipól k životu ve městě, kde žijeme v centru v prostorn bytě. Pražský loft máme minimalisticky koncipován v bílo šedé. Hronovský dům je hravý a dává vyniknout tvarové živelnosti, barevnosti.
Dům je tvarově bohatý přesně v duchu našich ostatních staveb. Chtěl jsem si vyzkoušet, jaké podněty takto tvarované prostory poskytují z hlediska dlouhodobého používání. Jestli vás skutečně tak obohacují, jak si myslím, anebo jestli se přejí a jsou posléze spíše na obtíž. Stále jsem nadšený. V průběhu stavby jsme jen zpřesňovali některá řešení z hlediska dílenského zpracování. Půdorysně dům trochu připomíná rakev. Hmota domu je výrazně horizontálně členěná uskakujícími podlažími, která gradují k přilehlé aleji lip a březovému lesíku. Směr gradace kopíruje svažitost okolního terénu. Převýšení zahrady je okolo 12 metrů. Převzali jsme původním majitelem započaté tvarování na pobytové terasy, které jsme upravili, aby navazovaly na geometrii domu. Tedy vše je ostře řezané - atiky, rampy, tvary záhonů...
Mám k Hronovu i pracovní vztah s neutuchající vizí "Za Hronov krásnější". Hronov je malé východočeské město známé hlavně díky slavným rodákům: spisovateli Aloisi Jiráskovi, Josefu Čapkovi, Egonu Hostovskému a režisérovi Janu Špátovi a také díky nejdéle se v Evropě konajícímu festivalu amaterského divadla Jiráskův Hronov.
We were looking for plot for 5 years. The main criterion was growing trees. Of about 10 varieties of plots on which I had already imagined houses, after three years of waiting for the division of property after the divorce of the previous owners, I chose this one. With hindsight I know it was the best choice! It is a place on the southern slope above the city center. There was horticulture before. The address is Divadelní 1012, the original house number was 12. The street leads up from Jirásek's theater. From the north, there is a protected linden alley that leads around the local cemetery - there aren´t better neighbors. The calming impression of the surroundings intensifies the regular ringing of the nearby Renaissance bell tower and the school tower on the square. Forests are nearby. The garden and work on it is very important for us. The grown trees, which we added with other greenery with the help of the garden architect Štěpánek Šmídová, refer to the original surrounding landscape. The result is a simple plant composition, but that is the desired tranquility and harmony with the local nature. This is counterpole to live in a city where we live in the Prague center in the flat. The Prague loft is minimalist in white-gray colour. The Hronov house is playful and gives a spontaneity and a colorfulness.
The house is rich in shape exactly in the spirit of our other buildings.I wanted to try out what incentives these spaces provide in terms of long-term use. If it really enrich you, as I think, or if it became ordinary after some time. I'm still excited. During construction, we have only specified some solutions. The ground plan reminds shape of the coffin. The mass of the house is markedly horizontally structured by rising floors, which follow up the adjacent alleys of the lip and the birch wood. The gradient direction copies the slope of the surrounding terrain. The height difference of the garden is about 12 meters. We have taken over the original molding of patio terraces, which made previous owner. We have adapted terrain to follow the geometry of the house. So everything is sharply cut - atics, ramps, allotment shapes ...
I also have a working relationship with Hronov and an unremitting vision of "for more beautifull Hronov". Hronov is a small town in the East Bohemia known mainly thanks to famous natives: writers
